About immersion

We believe that immersion is vital to create empathy, and empathy is essential for change. But what is immersion?

While immersive technologies may look like gimmicks from the outside, we've learnt through more than a decade of using them for amplifying impact that something far more powerful lies beneath.

And this is the cornerstone of everything we do.

It's called "telepresence"; a physiological state that convinces a participant's brain that their body is physically elsewhere. The digital reality they're put into, for all intents and purposes, becomes an actual reality.

A person experiences physical, emotional and mental responses which are indistinguishable from the same non-digital experience.

Once immersed, a person is no longer a passive witness to someone else's story (as they are in traditional media), but rather, they become an active participant in a highly personal story taking place in the present.

In turn, this experience dramatically cultivates empathy and through it, attitude and behavior change.
