Ulrico Grech-Cumbo is our CEO and Founder, describing himself as a conservationist, technologist and entrepreneur. Ulrico's education in Mechanical Engineering fostered a love for solving hard problems, while the privilege of travelling to the wild throughout his childhood sowed in him a deep curiosity for earth's other co-inhabitants.
"Habitat XR was founded because I felt absolutely no fulfilment from the work I was doing before. Converging my passions for nature and technology, and building a team of likeminded people, has been the greatest honor of my life.

Currently, 40% of our work is powered by solar energy, with a commitment to making it 100% by the end of 2025.
We strictly recycle (including e-waste) and upcycle at the office, and 100% of team food waste is composted for our indigenous garden.
We have a company policy against filming wildlife in captivity or baiting in any way to achieve shots.
We are pending an international B-Corp Certification (like Patagonia)
Our Team Immersion program ensures that each year, our entire team gets to spend time in pristine wilderness to connect with our purpose.
Our Professional Development Program gives every member of our team paid work time to pursue new skills and knowledge, with a budget to fund the training costs.
Our Wellness Fund makes budget available to our entire team in the promotion of physical, mental and emotional health.
Our International Travel Equity Program sees, where possible, that local aspiring creatives and creative technologists are given meaningful training and opportunities by our projects where we are "imported" to foreign countries for work.
